169 point inspection
If a pre-owned vehicle is less than 6 model years old and has less than 80,000 actual miles on the odometer, then it's eligible to undergo our demanding 169-point Quality Check inspection process. On Ford F-Series trucks and E-Series vans, only vehicles up through the 350 series are eligible for certification; 450 series and higher are ineligible. Anything found to be below standards or deficient is repaired or replaced using only genuine Motorcraft® replacement parts. Only vehicles that pass this rigorous inspection become Ford Certified Pre-Owned vehicles.

Powertrain warranty
Ford Motor Company stands behind every Certified Pre-Owned vehicle with a tremendous warranty to provide you peace of mind. All Ford CPO Vehicles come with a 6-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty coverage! The warranty provides coverage for the engine and transmission, and  roadside assistance (24 hours a day, seven days a week) including: towing, fuel-fill, and lock-out services.

Comprehensive warranty
We've gone the extra mile to help ensure your peace of mind. Our comprehensive limited warranty coverage is an example of that. The warranty covers more than 500 components, including many high-tech parts, as well as the failure of covered components due to abnormal wear resulting from defective materials or workmanship, in addition to mechanical break downs. Areas of coverage include: Engine, Transmission, Rear-Wheel Drive, Front-Wheel Drive, Air Conditioning and Heating, Brakes, Steering, Electrical, Front Suspension, Hi-Tech, Audio, Emissions, Safety. The Ford Certified Pre-Owned Comprehensive Limited Warranty provides coverage for 3 months or 3,000 miles from the Certified Pre-Owned purchase date, whichever comes first.

Vehicle History Review
A vehicle history overview report is run on every Ford CPO vehicle as part of the 169-point inspection process, and includes known repairs, instances of odometer tampering and accident history.
